Shedding the Stigma Surrounding Cosmetic Surgery

I'm on a personal mission to get rid of the stigma that still surrounds cosmetic surgery in many regions. Why am I on this mission? A small surgery changed my life, and I have never regretted it. I was a very shy child with little confidence due to my protruding ears. It sounds like such a small problem to many people, but it affected me and my self esteem greatly. I saved up in high school while working a part-time job, and as soon as I could afford it, I got my parents to agree to let me have my ears "pinned back" when I was 16. My confidence skyrocketed immediately, and I finally began enjoying life for the first time. I want to help others facing similar problems know that they are not alone, and I hope I can touch many lives with my new blog!

How To Know If A Breast Augmentation Is Right For You

Blog

Breast augmentation surgery is one of the most popular cosmetic surgeries and has been for the past several decades. By using either silicone or saline implants to help enhance a woman's breast size, a breast augmentation can not only give you a different appearance, but may also help you feel more confident. If you feel like your friends are getting breast augmentation surgery done but you just aren't sure if it's right for you, then this article is just what you need. Read on to learn more on how to tell if breast augmentation is a good surgery for you.

You Want Larger Breasts

The number one reason why a woman should get a breast augmentation is if she is dissatisfied with the size and appearance of her breasts. Whether you were born with small breasts, recently lost a lot of weight, or have breastfed, then you know what it's like to now be unhappy with your breasts. During a breast augmentation surgery, your surgeon will be able to give you fuller breasts to help you feel more like the woman you've always wanted to resemble.

You Have a Bad Self Esteem

Even though looks aren't everything, they can definitely either make or break your self-esteem. Even though surgeons can't guarantee that you'll feel happier about yourself after a breast augmentation surgery, a lot of patients do experience a heightened self-esteem after this procedure. And it's not because it's sexual; it's just because they feel more confident with their appearance after they undergo a breast augmentation surgery.

You Have Other Breast Issues

Oftentimes, a breast augmentation is done in conjunction with other surgeries in order to correct asymmetrical breasts, deflated breasts, too large of breasts, or even after a surgical procedure like a mastectomy. If you suffer from any of these other breast issues, then you may want to consider getting a breast augmentation surgery done in conjunction with any other breast surgeries that you are having.

Having larger breasts isn't something that's for every woman. But if you feel like you have always wanted larger breasts or your self-esteem is suffering because of your lack of breasts, then you may want to consider this surgery. During your initial consultation with your surgeon, they will go over all of your options with you to help you land on the right size of implant and type of implant for your body.
