Shedding the Stigma Surrounding Cosmetic Surgery

I'm on a personal mission to get rid of the stigma that still surrounds cosmetic surgery in many regions. Why am I on this mission? A small surgery changed my life, and I have never regretted it. I was a very shy child with little confidence due to my protruding ears. It sounds like such a small problem to many people, but it affected me and my self esteem greatly. I saved up in high school while working a part-time job, and as soon as I could afford it, I got my parents to agree to let me have my ears "pinned back" when I was 16. My confidence skyrocketed immediately, and I finally began enjoying life for the first time. I want to help others facing similar problems know that they are not alone, and I hope I can touch many lives with my new blog!

The Consultation Is An Essential Part Of The Facial Injection Process

Blog

Before you commit to facial injections, it's important that you first commit to a consultation. In some instances, some people are so eager to perform the procedure and achieve the results they want that they will overlook the consultation. However, the consultation is just as important as the injection itself. Learn why you should have a consultation before you have your injections performed.

Medical History

Facial injections are safe, but it's important to note that some of the materials used within the injection solution can pose risks for people with certain conditions. For example, people who have a history of bleeding or bruising easily might need to have their injections performed with certain safety measures in place. As part of the consultation, the provider performing the injection will collect your important health data to ensure that the procedure is safe for you as your safety is most important.

Desired Results

Not all facial injections look the same as the goal of every person is different. While the provider will be able to look at your face and help you plan your desired look, ultimately, it comes down to what you want. The best time to discuss what your appearance goals are is at the consultation, which is another reason this process is vitally important. Not only will the provider learn more about what you want from the procedure, but he or she can also help inform you about the limits of the injection process to ensure that you have realistic expectations.

Procedure Plan

It's important to learn that facial injections sometimes follow a procedure plan in that you will need to return for future injections to achieve the look you want. To ensure that you have the ability to plan and you are prepared, you need to have a consultation. During the consultation, the provider will talk about this procedure plan in detail so that you know what to expect. It's far better to get this information before you begin than to wait until after your first injection to learn more about it.

Aftercare

Providers typically also talk about what you should expect after the injections have been performed. Yes, facial injections are non-invasive and don't come with all the recovery needs of surgery, but there are some measures you should plan for. For example, swelling is common after the procedure, but your provider will offer you tips on how to reduce the swelling. Learning about this information beforehand can help you prepare and ensure you have the tools you need on hand to recover properly.

Keep in mind that licensed injection professionals typically include a consultation as part of the procedure process. As a result, you don't have to worry about missing out on these benefits.
